We are recruiting Trainee Installers / Skilled Operatives to join a specialist team working within a secure engineering and manufacturing environment. This role offers full training and long-term career opportunities for individuals with practical skills and a strong work ethic.

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: Starting rate of £15 per hour plus overtime
Hours of work: 10 hours per day – Monday to Saturday
About the Role
You will be involved in the installation and fitting of specialist materials and components within a highly regulated environment. The role is hands-on and physically demanding, requiring the safe use of a range of hand and power tools while working to strict quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation and fitting of specialist materials and components
- Use of hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment
- Following technical instructions and work procedures
- Maintaining high standards of workmanship and quality
- Adhering to health, safety, and security requirements
- Working effectively as part of a team to meet project deadlines
Candidate Requirements:
- Previous experience in construction, manufacturing, engineering, shipbuilding, mechanical fitting, maintenance, or similar skilled labour roles is desirable
- Competent in the use of hand and power tools
- Physically fit and capable of carrying out manual work
- Good attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a team environment
- Willingness to undertake training and develop specialist skills
Security Requirements
Due to the nature of the work, applicants must be eligible to obtain UK Security Check (SC) Clearance or already hold valid SC Clearance. Successful candidates will be required to undergo the relevant security vetting process.
