An incredible 500km journey raising over £43,000 for Cure Leukaemia
The Denholm Industrial Services (DIS) and Weatherproofing Advisors (WPA) team has successfully completed the London to Paris Cycle Challenge, crossing the finish line in Paris after an incredible 500km journey over four demanding days.
Travelling from London to Calais, through Abbeville and Beauvais before arriving in Paris, the team faced a wide range of conditions along the way. From sunshine and strong winds to heavy rain, punctures and physical fatigue, the challenge tested both endurance and determination at every stage. Despite this, every rider reached the finish safely, arriving together in Paris – a fantastic achievement and a true reflection of team spirit.
While the distance covered was significant, the challenge was driven by a greater purpose: supporting Cure Leukaemia and helping to fund vital blood cancer research and clinical trials.
Thanks to the generous support of colleagues, friends, family and partners, the team has raised an impressive £35,025 to date. With a further contribution from Denholm Giving, the total fundraising figure now exceeds £43,000 – a remarkable result that will make a meaningful difference.
This achievement is a testament not only to the dedication of the riders, but also to the support crew and organisers who played a key role behind the scenes, as well as everyone who followed and encouraged the team along the way.
Completing this challenge highlights the strength of collaboration across DIS and WPA, demonstrating what can be achieved when people come together with a shared goal – a brilliant effort from start to finish.
